Ingredients:
- Dudhi/bottle gourd - ¼ kg (cut into small cubes)
- Thur-dal - 1 cup
- Chana-dal - ¼ cup
- Tomatoes - 1 big (chopped)
- Green chilli - 2 (sliced)
- Turmeric powder - ½ sp
- Ghee/cooking oil - 2 sps
- Garlic flakes - 5 to 6 (slightly mashed)
- Salt to taste
- Rai, jeera, hing apinch, garlic flakes and red chilli for tadka
- Fresh Coriander leaves and karipatha.
- Wash thur-dal and chana-dal with water.
- In a pressure cooker pour the washed thur dal,chana dal, bottle gourd pieces, tomato, green chilli, turmeric powder and a glass of water. Pressure cook them for 10 mins.
- For tadka; heat oil/ghee in a pan and add tadka stuff. Mix the tadka with the dal and boil it for 4 to 5 mins. Add fresh coriander leaves and karipatha.
- Best with roti and plain rice :)
