Ingredients:
- Milk – ½ lt
- Custard powder - 3 sps
- Sugar – as req.
- Elachi powder – ½ tsp
- Fruits –any seasonal fruits like- banana – 4 chopped, grape- ½ cup, pomegranate – ½ cup, strawberries – ½ cup, apple – 1, chiku – 2, orange – 1 ect….
Method:
- Take a small cup of milk and put it aside. Boil the remaining milk (½ lt).
- Mix custard powder and elachi powder to the cup of milk separately, mix well without lumps.
- Now add the cup of custard milk to the boiling milk.
- Boil the milk for 5 mins with continuous stirring. Now add sugar as req.
- Mix well till the sugar melts thoroughly into the milk. Boil for 5 more mins.
- Turn off the stove and bring it to the room temperature.
- Now u can add chopped fruits. And keep it in the fridge for 2 to 3 hrs.
- If req. u can add seedless dates and dry fruits. Serve it cold. I am sure ur kids will love it :)
Ingredients:
- Milk – ½ lit
- Custard powder – 4 to 5 tbsp
- Sugar – 8 to 10 sps
- Strawberry crush – 3 to 4 sps (optional)
- Dry fruits – badam, kaju – chopped into small pieces – 4 to 5 sps
- Hide and seek biscuit/and chocolate flavor biscuit – 12 pieces
- Britannia sponge cake/any other sponge cake – 12 slices
- Fruits – banana, grapes, pomegranate, apple – 1 cup (chopped as shown)
- If u want u can add strawberries, sweet orange, mango.
Method:
- Boil the milk in a pan. Take 1 cup of milk aside and make it cool to the room temperature.
- Add custard powder to that cup of milk and mix it to a smooth paste.
- Now pour that cup of custard milk into the boiling milk and add sugar. Boil it for 5 mins.
- Let it cool so that it becomes a thick paste. (as shown)
- Now take a square / rectangular shape plastic or glass bowl.
- 1st spread 6 biscuits at the bottom. (as shown)
- 2nd spread the thick custard paste on top of the biscuits.
- 3rd spread chopped fruits. (as shown)
- 4th spread chopped dry fruits. (as shown)
- 5th spread the sponge cake. (as shown)
- Then again repeat the above steps. Finally garnish it with strawberry crush and dry fruits.
- Freeze it for an hr or more. Mouth watering custard fruit pudding is ready to serve.
Ingredients:
- Khoya (Kova) - 1 cup
- Maida flour - ¼ cup
- Paneer - 4 sps (grated)
- Cooking soda - 3 pinchs
- Cooking oil/ghee - as req. for deep frying
- Sugar - 1 ½ cup
- Elachi powder - ½ sp
- Kesar - 7 to 8 strings (optional)
Method:
- Mix kova, maida, paneer and cooking soda together with hand. If required, you can add 2 to 3 sps of milk to make a soft dough.
- Make round balls out of the above dough. (as shown)
- Deep fry these balls in cooking oil till they are golden brown. (If u wish u can use ghee for deep frying or ½ ghee and ½ cooking oil.)
- In a bowl take sugar and pour water i.e. 3 cups. Add elachi powder and kesar. Bring this to a boil.
- Strain the sugar syrup and add the fried jamuns in it when the syrup is hot.
- Allow the jamuns to soak in the syrup for atleast 1 or 2 hours.
- Serve them hot or cold as per ur taste. Goes best with vanilla ice-cream.
Ingredients:
- Raw rice - less than ½ cup (soaked in cup of water)
- Milk - ½ liter
- Sugar - ½ cup or as per ur taste
- Cardamom powder - 2 pinchs
- Dry fruits - as u wish (or as shown)
- Ghee -1tsp
Method:
- In a thick pan boil some milk. Add soaked rice with water to the milk.
- Boil the mixture till the rice is cooked. Keep on mixing with a spoon constantly.
- Now when the rice is cooked add sugar and cardamom powder.
- Again boil for few mins and then switch off the stove.
- In another pan, heat ghee and fry dry fruits in it as shown.
- Mix these dry fruits with the kheer. Easy and simple sweet dish is ready to serve.
Ingredients:
- White bread - 1 packet
- Milk - ½ liter
- Sugar-2cups or according to ur taste
- Cardamom powder - ½ sp
- Dry fruits as per wish
- Cooking oil or ghee (for deep fry)
Method:
- First boil milk in a pan. Around ½ liter of milk should reduce to half due to the boiling.
- In a different pan, boil 2 cups of water and add sugar and cardamom powder. Boil for 10 mins.
- Meanwhile deep fry the bread pieces till they are golden brown in colour.
- Take all these fried bread pieces in a bowl and add the boiled milk and also the sugar syrup.
- Mix it well and garnish with fried dry fruits (as shown). Famous Hyderabadi sweet is ready to serve :)
Ingredients:
- Marie biscuit - 1 packet
- Powdered Sugar - less than ½ glass (as per ur taste)
- Walnuts - 7 to 8 (finely chopped)
- Fresh cream - 2 to 3 tbsps
- Coffee powder-2 pinches (mix in 1 tbsp of milk as shown)
Method:
- Blend biscuits in a mixer as shown (they should NOT be finely powdered).
- Add fresh cream 2 tbsps, sugar and coffee mixed milk.
- Mix all together and make long rolls as shown (if req. add remaining cream too).
- In a plate, spread the chopped walnut and roll these rolls on them very gently.
- Put this into a freezer (fridge) for 1 hr. They will return hard and then u can cut them into pieces as shown.
- U can store this sweet in the refrigerator (freezer) for more than 20 days.
